Our Story

Thicks and Bones was conceptualised 3 years ago, born from the frustration of being unable - as a new mother - to find swimwear that looked good on me.

The once full chest - now sagging - a bottom that had lost all its wonderful perk, and stretch marks decorating what now - postpartum - looked like a still slightly pregnant belly, just didn't seem to look good in anything I could find on the market. I wondered how many other women out there were struggling like I was. It wasn't just a physical struggle, but had now become a mental and emotional one. I was determined to change it, with a fresh new perspective on body positivity.

And so, after purchasing a sewing machine and watching more than several “How To Sew” videos on youtube, Thicks and Bones was born.
